St George's Day & the market

On Saturday 23rd April Newport will be celebrating St Georges Day starting at 10am.  Please note Newport High Street is closed from 12pm-1.15pm but the market will definitely be open.  Shrewsbury Morris Dancers will be performing and there will be a  procession from 12pm.  Catch the action with live dragon slaying, free tasters of Dragon Sausages and St Georges Buns.  The event will include street buskers, Juggling Jim and his St George puppets and more.
