Pastry Box Pie wins local accolade

Last Saturday saw our very own Dan Smith owner of The Pastry Box enter the Newport Pie competiton.  Open for any local business to enter the three judges marked on appearance, taste and ingredients - with a link to our lovely town Newport.

The judges particularly liked the fact that all Dan's ingredients came from stalls in the indoor market including three types of cheese from Moyden's.  This perfect pie scored high in all in all categories and judges could hardly fault it.  So if you are a pie or pastry lover (well you can't have a pie without pastry can you?) pop in and see Dan on The Pastry Box every Friday and Saturday.
